Being on our waiting list

Successful applicants will receive an acceptance letter confirming point allocation. We can’t predict when we will have a suitable property in an area that is your first choice, or how long the waiting list is. We award points to applicants depending on individual circumstances. We also take nominations from your council’s waiting list. We always advise you to also join their list, or apply to other housing providers, at the same time as applying to HCHA.

When a suitable property becomes available, we will ring you and visit you at home, to check your application and circumstances and to tell you about the available property. We will tell you more about any specific arrangement for that property before organising for you to view it.
