General Maintenance Operative

Up to 37 Hours per week – £30,000.00 FTE


We are seeking an experienced General Maintenance Operative to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential repairs and maintenance to our 500 properties and scheme offices and assist with void and estate management services as required.

This rewarding role involves:

Repairs & Maintenance

Carrying out reactive repairs, and proactive maintenance, to our tenanted and empty properties and offices

Informing our tenants

Passing on your valuable knowledge to our tenants, keeping them informed throughout

Monitoring Performance

Assisting the Property Services Team in pre and post inspections of works

Estate Management

Making sure our schemes are looking their best, as well as being safe with weekly compliance testing

About you


  • Have a minimum of 2 years experience in a repairs and maintenance environment. A NVQ L2 and above or equivalent in any trade will be beneficial.
  • Have previous experience working within social housing or similar (beneficial)
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Work flexibly and reliably.
  • Be confident to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence.
  • Own van and tools desirable but not essential
