When you apply, we’ll guide you through every step and you’ll have the option to review and amend your application before you submit it.
You can keep track of your application status along the way. Depending on the role, we may invite you face-to-face or to a Teams meeting and ask you to undergo a competency-based interview so we can understand your experience and motivations. This will also be an opportunity for us to provide you with an overview of the role and what it is like to work at HCHA.
Our Culture
If you’re looking for a rewarding role and super colleagues, you’ve come to the right place. We want to attract the best people to work for us and inspire them to succeed.
We’re constantly reshaping our business to meet our ambitious goals and changing customer needs. This means creating a culture that makes it easy for people to try something new if they think it might make things better, if you can explain why you want to try it. We are empowering employees and customers to make decisions and take ownership of their offices, homes, networks and communities.
We’re committed to constantly improving customer service, balancing adding new homes to our property stock with staying financially strong and investing in new technology and innovation.
Feel good
We have a strong social purpose and we’re not-for-profit, so every penny is reinvested in new and existing homes or on supporting and developing great services for all our customers and the communities they live in. That’s why our exciting roles give you the chance to make a tangible difference to people’s lives every day.
Be yourself
Being at work is a big part of our lives, so we’re investing in creating attractive working environments and a welcoming, inclusive culture where you can bring your whole self and be valued and appreciated for who you are.
Achieve more
If you share our commitment to excellence and growth, we’ll give you great career and individual development opportunities and the recognition and reward you deserve.

Our Professional Standards
We are committed to the housing regulator’s code of conduct 2022 and our professional standards such as honesty, integrity, being an advocate and keeping your skills up to date are important to us. They show us how we should behave and inspire us to be the best we can be. All employees complete an annual self-assessment against the housing industry’s professional standards as part of their individual development plan.
Equality, diversity and inclusion – it’s about all of us!
At HCHA, we are committed to promoting Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI). We aim to foster an environment where every individual can feel they belong, be themselves and reach their full potential, all while providing exceptional service to our diverse range of customers.
Equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) means more to us than words on a page or screen. It’s more than just legal compliance or discussing protected characteristics. For us it’s about people; it’s about creating workspaces where everyone is treated fairly and according to their needs. It’s also about putting our customers’ needs first and meeting the variety of needs they have in the most effective and inclusive way.

We strive to be recognised as a fair and inclusive employer and are proud to have been a certified ‘disability confident’ and ‘mindful’ employer for well over 15 years now.

We offer family-friendly policies and flexible working approaches. Many roles also allow working from home alongside time in an office or other base.
